Nagami Kumquat, Fortunella margarita 'Nagami'

With handsome foliage and waxy white flowers, these tender evergreen shrubs and trees, make ideal conservatory plants. This group includes all popular citrus fruits, Lime, Lemon, Orange and Grapefruit. Most need a minimum winter temperature of 5 - 10C. The scented flowers appear in summer in a cool conservatory, but in ideal conditions, flowers are produced at intervals throughout the year. Plants may only reach half their maximum height when planted in containers. Kumquats are like small, oval oranges, the peel of which is often sweeter than the flesh. 'Nagami' is a small shrub that bears oval kumquats about 1 1/4” long x 1” diameter. They flower in their first Summer, and the flowers are followed by the fruit.

Naked Lady, Lycoris squamigera

Orchis Italica are widely popular for their petals which in shape, resemble naked men. Prefering partial shade and low nutrient soil and they flower in late spring. Orchis Italica grows up to 50cm in height, with bright pink, densely clustered flowers.

Naked-stalked Crassula, Crassula nudicaulis

Crassula are succulent, herbaceous plants. Some varieties are suitable for rock gardens in mild regions as long as the soil is well drained. The thick leaves are often covered with hair or 'meal' and the flowers are generally small in size and borne on terminal panicles. Crassulas can easily be grown from leaf cuttings.

Napaea dioica, Glade mallow

N. dioica grows to about 2m in height. It produces white flowers which bloom for 4–5 weeks in early summer. The blooms open in the morning and close at sundown. Plant in moist to wet loam in full sun to part shade. Intolerant of dry soils. Best in a sheltered location protected from strong winds. Plants are dioecious and should be grown in clumps to assure cross pollination occurs.
