This is the Gardenia cutting I took which has now flowered. So pleased with it.
I'm struggling to get mine going doesn't seem to be growing much although it has had one flower
Because they like an acid soil, I put a teaspoon of cider vinegar to two pints of water about once a month. I never leave them sitting in water and only give them a good soak when needed.
I've never had any luck with gardenia, buds always fall of before opening. Great advice @sandrawalker47 will try again now 👍
They really are a temperamental little plant but don't give up as they are beautiful and smell heavenly.
You can add aluminium sulphate (hydrangea colourant) to the soil/compost to lower the PH
Thank you for that tip.
