Mutant but pretty. It looks like it has another flower growing beyond the yellow stamen #hibiscus #mutant #bestofmay
How unusual but lovely all the same 🌺
Itās very strange, particularly with the miniature flower being beyond the yellow stamens Julieā¦most peculiar! @juliesgarden
Sheās an individual 😍🤣

My tropical hibiscus has loved overwintering in the bathroom. It may have found its new forever home. Note the mutant flower at the top. It looks like it has another flower growing in front of its stamen 🌺 #topical-hibiscus #hibiscus #red #indoor #ajmay #bestofmay
How pretty Angela ...looks very happy there 👌🥰
The flowers are beautiful. It obviously likes its spot 🌺🌺🌺
Morning again Pauline, itās certainly very happy in the bathroom. Itās doing so well it may outgrow the available space at this rate! @flof1952
Morning Jane, itās done very well in this spot. I just wonder how long before it outgrows the space. I may need a plan B before too long! @pelly
Morning Angela .. again 🤣 .. weāll I think itās very happy there 🌺
The leaves are massive compared to what they were before I moved it indoors for the winter Julie, it might go into shock if I took it outside again 🥶😂 @juliesgarden
I think you've found it's perfect spot 😍
Itās certainly a lot happier here Jeff. I donāt think it would be very impressed if I exposed it to our lovely outdoor spring weather āļø @jeatacake
Definitely not! I think the really hot spell we had last year is what it needs, if not your bathroom!
I had it outside during the hot spell last summer but it looks a lot happier in the bathroom. One of those rare overwintering successes (as opposed to the ensete)! @jeatacake
And as opposed to about 80% of my plants! 🙄

Loving its new home in the bathroom #hibiscus #houseplant #bloom
Thatās beautiful 😍
If it continues like this it may never make it back into the garden next year ! @juliesgarden
Oh isnāt that a beauty Angela 💗🧡💗
Dreadful isnāt it ā¦my gardens still squelchy from the last deluge 🙄
Wow how beautiful Angela ....looks really happy there 😯👌
Sheās really doing so well Jane, I think the humidity in the bathroom definitely helps @pelly
This is the happiest Iāve seen the hibiscus Pauline. This may end up being her new home 🌺 @flof1952
Looking lovely and very happy 😍😍
Thanks Diane, it has certainly settled in well and seems to like itās new home @hkyfvr
So beautiful. I've not had any luck with mine. I had three buds this year and was hopeful it would bloom, but no, not a single flower. Do they fare better in pots? I thought or is that just in winter 🤔🧡🧡
Thatās a shame Chris. This one is a standard and stays in a pot. Easier to move indoors for the winter that way @midnightgardener

Beautiful colour 😍😍
Fabulous ā¤ļø
Beautiful
Itās interesting now that Iāve brought it inside to overwinter, the colour has changed somewhat. I really like itās indoor look! @hkyfvr @juliesgarden @gjones @hebelover
I have found that with mine too. My largest one has gone into full dormancy and has lost all its leaves. It is still alive but it looks like a pot of twigs. 😆
Thatās interesting Diane. This is my first year overwintering, so I shall have to see how it does. Iāve put it in the bathroom in the hope the humidity will help @hkyfvr
It should Angela. My other hibiscus plants are smaller and I am treating them as houseplants. They still have their foliage and in previous years have started to bud in the Spring indoors. The big one was just too big to keep upstairs so it has been pruned and is dormant but I still give it some water and light. 😄
Stunning flower 🧡🧡🧡ā„ļø
Thank you. It certainly brightens up the bathroom @midnightgardener
@italydiva Hi Angela, I thought I would let you know our Facebook page on an old post as I donāt want to get exiled for advertising 🤭 itās Alfie Designs Bristol we do a lot of advertising for local events so you will have to scroll through to see our makes. You can click on a link to the website from there too. Thanks for asking . Enjoy your lovely garden 🪴Debs x

Cataloguing - new Morrisons purchase. Sitting happily amidst the fern and dicentra. Letās see if I can keep it alive! 😬 No direct sun. Between 10 degrees & 28 degrees C. April - Sept water 2-3 times per week. Oct - March water 1 x weekly
How will you overwinter it Angela 🤔ā¤ā¤
This one will have to come indoors Jane and will require mist spraying. I donāt have a great track record with this sort of thing but I thought it was worth a go @pelly
Oooooh!! How tropical 🌴
If you don't try you'll never know 👍
Thatās exactly what caught my eye Carolineā¦couldnāt resist! @Cazx
Overly optimistic, frequently disappointedā¦thatās me Jane! 😆 @pelly
Iād have done the same @italydiva straight in my trolley 🛒
Yep..it had to be done Caroline 😂 @Cazx
Itās gorgeous! Iām sure you can manage to keep it alive 😛 mine lives in an unheated greenhouse year-round and survives so youāll have no trouble ā¤ļø
It looks beautiful Angela. I have kept my semi double one over 2 winters and it has its first bud of the season. Have faith 😊
Thatās good to know Kerry. In that case Iām wondering if I may be better off putting it in the summerhouse overwinter, rather than in the house with the central heating 🤔 @kez001uk
Have a lovely #foliagefriday everyone 🪴 #tropical-hibiscus #hibiscus #indoorplant
You too Angela 💚
Thanks Julie 😘 @juliesgarden
Morning Angela āļø
You have a great day Angela 🤗

Thank you Jason! @hebelover
