Love those big fleshy buds! I wish I could grow them but I think it is too hot here and I think they need a very cold winter. We had lots of them in Wisconsin.

@KariSamuel I was born and lived in Fort Atkinson until I was 22, then we lived in Madison for 2 years. After that it was Florida and now SoCal.

@KariSamuel where do you live in Wisconsin?

@pooh4jvn are zone 10? If so, you should be able to grow them in complete shade.

@dadayba I am in zone 9. I don’t even have much shade.

@pooh4jvn I’m zone 9b. My peony is located against my garage door east facing so it gets morning sun and afternoon shade
