When I'm not on my bike, you'll find me in my organic-ish garden in #Cumbria. Favourite plants? Wisteria, hellebores, paeonies, philadelphus...
14 May 2019 • So much has happened in the garden in just four days, mainly involving #aquilegias 💜💕
They're beautiful 💜💗💚
Fabulous! A wash of gorgeous purple 💜
Oh how nice to have many! Beautiful 🌺💚
They’re gorgeous! 😍💜
Wow! Have you got the national collection there Jacq?! 😍
Just a few then Jacquelin....👌🏼
Thanks Ange 😊 @anges
Thanks Jason. I wish I could say it was all my own work but more like the lack of it, as I find it hard to remove the seedlings 🙄😬 @Jasonsparkes1
Thanks Dan. The evening sun helped! 🧡💜 @dan5584
1 Jun 2018 • One of the advantages of not being a very tidy gardener is I get lots of surprises like this little one that has appeared under the garden table 💕
Very pretty. This looks like a clematis flower. I think I've pulled all my incoming seedlings in the beds. Thank goodness I've got more coming in wilder spots. I'm learning Jacqueline.
It’s a sweetie isn’t it. My lack of tidying extends to not doing much dead heading which is good for having seedlings but not so good for the parent plants 🤔🤷♀️ @columbiariver
I'm terrible at dead heading too. Especially if I have to think about it or reach for them! Lol!
That’s so sweet 💜
I’m going I’d at doing the roses but tend to forget everything else 😬 @columbiariver
It’s a cutie isn’t it Jason @Jasonsparkes1
I live the fact it’s appeared under the table. Almost like it’s hiding from me 🙄 @rachelbrooks
I found some foxgloves seedlings underneath my garden bench ☺
I hope you kept them. They deserve to live if they’ve gone to that amount of effort! 😉😂 @ublaszko
😂😂 the flower colour goes so well with the colour of the table as well!
They self-seeded in between the paving stones 😂😂 Not sure if I'll be able to move them but I'm guessing they won't survive where they are now.
28 March 2028 • Ooh, that’s me 💦
Hello you, nice shot!
👋👋 😉😂 @Denise16
Hello Gary! - if I’d realised I’d have waved 👋📷 🙄
Ha! Cool shot!
Thanks Jenn. Bit daft but hey! 😂 @jennlamaye
Thanks Jason 😊 They are so photogenic at this stage aren’t they @Jasonsparkes1
Ooh so tis! Yoohoo! 🙋🏻♀️😘
Yoohoo! 👋👋 @rachelbrooks
So you actually live in a plant then.....🤣
You found me out Elaine 🤣🤣 @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom
Thus would be aquilegia vulgaris (Nora Barlow)
Thanks George @dodehyderangea
I've just looked them up and I do have some Nora Barlow, but these aren't them. Nora Barlow have very pale backs & outer petals I think @dodehyderangea
Very bashful beauty 🌸💕
Aren't they sweet George? @dodehyderangea
Thanks Jayne @jaynehynesburton
Yes love aquilega a got pics of some from a clients garden today awsome ones I'll look and get pics up
I'll look forward to that 😊
Wow! So many flowers! 🌸👏🏼👏🏼
They seem to like my garden Rachel 🤔😊 @rachelbrooks
Fab! 👍🏼 not so much mine...they're all a bit lacklustre this year 😏
Lovely display of flowers 🌺
Sorry to hear that Rachel. It's been so dry here I thought mine would be too. The great thing about gardens is there is always next year 👍🏻😊 @rachelbrooks
#aquilegia are popping up everywhere. I don't know the name of this one though I'm afraid
Oh wow, that's beautiful
Sooo pretty 💕💜💕
That's really pretty- the blooms are so tall!
Thank you! They seem to be very happy there. They are making friends with each other & having lots of babies 😉😊@titchyfra @rachelbrooks @gjones @susanhumphrey333
An aquilegia leaf just waiting to unfurl
Isn't nature amazing? @columbiariver @carolgs
Oh how lovely. I have three Aquilegias to go in soon Jaqueline. I love them. @awomanonabike 😊😊
They are lovely aren't they & they self-seed freely too @pelly
Free plants then, what's not to love Jaqueline. 😊😊 @awomanonabike
The very last aquilegia still in flower in my garden. Until next spring...
