Trillium albidum

Giant White Wake Robin

This is a perennial with rhizomes that forms clumps of stalkless mid-green leaves up to 20 cm long, sometimes mottled. In spring the flowers are also stalkless. They smell sweet and the petals are white (or occasionally pink) and are oval to lance-shaped with lance-shaped green sepals. Trilliums, also known as Wake Robin, or Tri Flowers, are Spring-flowering perennials with flowers with three petals that sit on three leaves. They take a long time to establish and multiply, but then are long-lived, so it is best to leave them alone once planted.
