Solidago Sempervirens

Seaside Goldenrod

Goldenrod is a perennial woody flowering plant, most varieties of which have conical panicles of small yellow flowers in Summer and Autumn. The leaves vary, but most varieties have narrow, tapering leaves around 4" long, that are hairy on the underside. Plants can also vary considerably in height, depending on the variety. 'Seaside Goldenrod' is native to coastal areas of eastern North America and parts of the Caribbean. It has waxy, fleshy leaves that are an adaptation to the drying effects of salt spray, and to help the plant retain moisture.
