Chapman's Wild Sensitive Plant

Sennas are a genus of plant included within the legume family, Fabaceae. There are over 250 different species. Senna mexicana var. chapmanii is a small ground cover shrubby plant native to parts of florida, and grows around Pine Rocklands. It grows well in poor soils, and does best in moist well drained limestone conditions although mature plants can withstand some periods of drought. It has pinnate leaves and produces yellow flowers.
