'Goldenvale' is a medium-sized deciduous shrub in the blackberry family that has white-bloomed, arching stems. The foliage is somewhat fern-like. The leaves are yellow, fading to lime-green as they mature. In Summer small purplish flowers appear, followed by inedible black fruits.
