Neoregelia Fireball Variegata in the GardenTags plant encyclopedia

Neoregelia schultsiana 'Fireball Variegata'

Neoregelia 'Fireball Variegata'

Neoregelia have spiny, strap-shaped leaves growing in rosettes or tubular forms with water holding reservoirs. The flowers grow in the heart of the plant and may occur at any time of year. In some species, the floral bracts can change colour when blooming commences. 'Fireball Variegata' has burgundy red foliage with white stripes. The colours are accentuated when grown in the sun. It forms a large clump and looks very good when grown epiphytically, or as groundcover.
