Lavender Purple Stock

Matthiola incana is a woody-based perennial. The foliage is narrow and grey-green, and in late Spring and early Summer spikes of sweetly fragrant pink, mauve, purple or white flowers up to 2.5 cms. appear. Cultivars of this species are grown as annual or biennial bedding plants, or for cut flowers. 'Lavender Purple' sports greenish grey slender leaves, tall sturdy stem produces open display of lavender purple single flowers. Lightly scented.
