Strawberry Pink Panda in the GardenTags plant encyclopedia

Fragaria x ananassa 'Frel' syn. Fragaria x ananassa 'Pink Panda'

Strawberry 'Pink Panda'

The common garden strawberry (collectively known as strawberries) is widely grown for its sweet tasting, juicy red fruit. Strawberry plants are easy to care for and will provide an abundance of first class fruit for a numbers of years. When they come to the end of their fruiting lives they are easily propagated by removing the old plants and planting the runners. 'Pink Panda' is a pink-flowered strawberry and is superb for ground cover or pots, flowering repeatedly from spring to autumn. Berries are edible too. Height to 20cm.

Propagate plant runners in Autumn

From Early Autumn TO Mid Autumn

Propagate your strawberry plants in their 4th or 5th year to continue your fruit crop. Simple break of the runners from the main plant and plant straight into well drained, fertile soil. For an early crop you can plant under a tunnel cloche.
