Eremurus robustus 'White Plume'
Foxtail Lily 'White Plume'
Eremurus robustus, commonly known as the foxtail lily or desert candle, originates from Central Asia. They have blue-green strap like leaves which grow from fleshy roots which spread out like the tentacles of an octopus. A leafless flower stem emerges from the centre which can, in some varieties and under the right conditions, grow as tall as 3 metres. This stem can have hundreds of individual star-shaped flowers of many colours such as white, pink, apricot, orange and yellow. Eremurus are attractive to bees and butterflies. Eremurus need full sun on its leaves, so ensure they are not shaded by other plants. Eremurus robustus 'White Plume' is a white flowering variety which grows to 1.5 metres tall and blooms in mid Summer
