Mountain cabbage tree

Cussonia paniculata will eventually grow to a height of 3.5m tall. An unusual architectural small tree which quickly becoming a celebrity. Sprouting from the top of the sturdy cork-like trunk, it produces a crown of handsome blue-green leaves. Easy & requiring little care, it provides height for a dry garden and is also great in a large container.

Planting

From Early Spring TO Early Spring

All the members of this genus form a swollen stem base beneath the ground and care must be taken not to damage this when planting out. Plant in a well-prepared hole with well drained soil mixed with of compost. Mulch well to retain moisture.
