Cicuta Maculata - Water Hemlock - is native to most of North America, from northern Canada to southern Mexico. The plant has a hollow erect stem with long leaves made up of several lance-shaped, pointed, serrated leaflets, and it bears compound umbels of white flowers. which are followed by dry light brown fruit, which are just a few millimeters long. WARNING: Water Hemlock is considered to be North America's most toxic plant. The tuberous roots look somewhat like parsnips, but they are highly toxic
