Camellia x williamsii 'Spring Festival'

Camellia 'Spring Festival'

Camellia are evergreen shrubs which can be spreading or upright with shiny deep green leaves bearing lovely single or double white, pink, red or even bi-coloured flowers from late winter to mid spring. Camellia williamsii have smaller leaves than other camellias, and are more hardy than many other camellias, and therefore more suitable for growing in exposed areas that have cold Winters, and where the intensity of light is lower (such as the northern areas of Britain). They have the added bonus of dropping their spent flowers, thus saving the task of removing spent blooms by hand! 'Spring Festival' is a lovely camellia especially when from late winter to mid-spring, it produces lots of small, double flowers in soft pink. This is an evergreen shrub to 4m in height.
