Bacopa 'White Secrets'

A tender plant best planted in full sun to partial shade in free draining soil and kept moist and feed regularly through flowering period. Bacopa is a short growing and spreading, long flowering aquatic plant, useful as ground cover. It needs moist conditions however. It has bright mid green leaves that are ovate with serrations around the edges. It has masses of open white flowers with yellow centres. Some trailing varieties are suitable as filler plants for hanging baskets and containers.

Planting Outdoors

From Mid Spring TO Late Spring

Plant out container grown plants in partial shade, morning sun is good, into a fertile but moist position. Pinching out the tops will make them grow bushier.

 

Propagating by seed

From Late Winter TO Early Spring

Sow seed into trays of compost, press them into the soil only, keep the compost moist and place in a plastic bag or propagator. when they are big enough to handle replant them into containers and put in a cooler place.
