Planting new plants

From Early Spring TO Early Summer

Prefers infertile, shallow, sandy soils. Set in partial shade. In temperate climates, Asparagus setaceus is grown as a decorative houseplant, often in hanging baskets, as it is not frost tolerant. In warmer climates, it can be planted out in raised beds but is susceptible to wind damage.

Propagation by seed

From Early Spring TO Early Spring

Propagation is usually by seed. Prefers infertile, shallow, sandy soils. Seeds can be sown directly into the growing position.
