A clump-forming, evergreen perennial with broad, strap-shaped, dark green leaves and large, rounded heads of trumpet-shaped flowers, often with a central stripe on the petals. It flowers in late summer and early autumn. Agapanthus 'Regal beauty' produces large dark blue flower heads in late summer, the flower head can be up to 25cm in diameter. It is not as hardy as some varieties and will need protection from frost.
