Branches ascending, 7 - 25 mm in diameter, glabrous, reticulate. Rosette 6 - 22 cm in diameter, rather flattish. Leaves 3 - 12 x 2 - 4 cm, 2 – 6 mm thick, obovate to oblanceolate-spatulate, apically acuminate, basally attenuate or cuneate, puberulent, margin with conical cilia ( = 0.5 mm), dark green to yellowish-green, often reddish or brownish variegated along margin. Inflorescences ± ovoid, 10 - 35 x 8 - 25 cm, peduncle 5 - 20 cm long, pedicels 1 - 3 mm, puberulent. Flowers 6- to 8-merous, sepals puberulent, petals 6.5 - 9 x 1.5 - 2.5 mm, lanceolate, acuminate, whitish, generally greenish variegated, filaments puberulent. Aeonium, or Tree House Leek, is a succulent plant with rosettes of fleshy green leaves. Panicles or racemes of small starry flowers are produced in Spring.
