Acacia iteaphylla

Willow Wattle

Acacias, or wattles, are shrubs and trees found in warm and tropical regions, from the Americas and Europe to Asia and Africa, however, the vast majority of species are native to Australia. They belong to the pea family. They are evergreen plants grown for their attractive foliage and bright yellow blooms. The genus varies in size from small shrups, ideal for containers, to large trees of 10m or more in height. Willow Wattle has narrow, blue-green leaves on drooping stems forming a delicate yet bushy shrub. Dense habit makes it a fine screen or specimen. Very adaptable to most soils, and tolerant of drought and seacoast exposure.
