Thanks for the post. I've identified the plant via google images. Interestingly, the plant has come up the same couple of springs but i was reluctant to remove it cuz it seemed so pretty. Now i find that its an invasive species and I'm in the midst of removing them. Its really kind of sad. See the the poetic references on Wikipedia. Thanks.

There are some better behaved cultivated ones with dark leaves or double flowers you could try.
