I always find growing plants from cuttings so rewarding. These lavenders are being planted in the bee friendly cottage garden.

Lovely lavender, I have grown them from home harvested seed before. Pop them in the fridge for a week first to stratify before sowing in spring, they germinated readily with a little bottom heat and made great little plants. I pinched out the tips once they were big enough and they were ready to plant by that autumn although I did wait until the following spring in case we had a harsh winter. It's fine if you don't need them to be guaranteed true to type offspring. #seeds #lavender #resour

@tash74 great advice thanks very much. We're planning to have a big lavender bed here at Longford Hall next year so that'll come in handy!
