Placed the chopped head next to the stem, then the top 2 stem babies got big enough to remove too, plenty of pvn's now

No matter how close I get my lights my pvn still stretches but it's so freaking pretty 😍😍 #tall #echeveria-perlevonnurnberg

Mine too. Makes me sad because it was so cute when I first got it.

I know I am a little sad too Jenn @jennlamaye but bright side, it will look cute again after a beheading, and then I'm going to collect all the lower leaves and hopefully get lots of new babies to trade 😊

@gjones when I first get plants in i usually take as much as 5 leaves to try to propagated just as insurances, my pvn has been the most difficult to show roots or leaves. I thought for sure with how fast the mother plant grows that they'd be quick to take roots but it's slow going, I have hope for your stump to pop something out. I hope so bc that's what I want mine to do! Haha

what type of light do you use? type of light designtes how far from plant. florescent can be just above plant because weaker, cool light. 4".led a little higher. stronger liģht can bleach foliage if to close but still cool. sun lamp, hot needs further away so not to burn foliage.

@moore.794 I have a lamp with a cfl bulb a little over a foot above and then i have an LED strip light almost directly above certain plants if they need more and over my propagations

@Muzz67 I can't wait to see what happens when I can finally get her outside in actual sun and it's energy used better

cfl can be 4". does your led look like a floresent bulb or a strip with little lights?

@moore.794 I don't think i can get the cfl any lower right now, unless I get creative 😉 would adding another lamp with an additional cfl bulb be of benefit? The LED is a tube like strip with little lights, it has 2 heads that can be moved and positioned.

there are led bulbs at lowes that fit in florescent fixtures. sounds like just not strong enough light. my stand has 2 led 4' bulbs 6" above and natural light from window. saw another post where they used foil to reflect light on plants.

My Pvn still stretch a little and they have all the light they need.Even in perfect conditions for these Echeverias we need to behead once in a while.Your plant looks good to me from this pic and the colour is amazing so you are obviously doing something right ! 😁

I was going to say similar to @muzz67 - I actually stopped to admire this plant. My pvn’s took roughly 4 weeks to sprout roots and then another 1-2 weeks for leaves. I have misted them with a liquid fertiliser and it made a world of difference in growth and colour. They are slow growing. Keep trying! 😁

My only PVN leaf that didn't shrivel up, I don't need another one I'm just obsessed with seeing them grow from so tiny 😊

Help me identify this plant. So at first someone said it was definitely an Echeveria Perl Von Nurnberg, recently someone said the leaf shape suggested otherwise. Anyways this is my 1 week progress with getting this pretty girl some much needed light
