I have mostly houseplants and cacti. I'm a beginner doing constant research, trying not to kill anything. USDA zones 8a and 8b.

Something is eating my avocado leaves! I haven't seen any bugs on it. Should I spray it with neem anyway? What should I do? #avocado #avocado-advice #advice #help

Try to figure out what did it.. could be grasshoppers... they are evil creatures I tell ya.. make sure to look at whole plant for caterpillars some could be good ones just hungry.. won't effect your avocado any just keep eye on it.

I am seeking advice! I literally put this avocado pit in soil yesterday and watered it once, and now I see a fuzzy moldy situation beginning. Could this harm the plant? Should I try to wipe it off? Would an organic fungicide spray hurt it? What should I do? #avocado #advice #help #mold

@savannahssucculentgarden I would try to gently wipe it off with a damp cloth. But honestly I'd wait for advice from others like @cyndi first 🙂

You can wipe it off use a tiny bit of neem and peroxide very little to spray on it and soil just to help deter fungus molds .. make sure had good airflow and bright light

@cyndi do you mix the neem and peroxide with water together 💧 and how much?

Mix the neem as directed and just add a good splash or so to the neem mix of the peroxide @Dragon_Warrior this also will work in the garden outside as well just bit more peroxide for larger amounts of neem use. If using this outside only early early morning or very late afternoon after bees have settled for the night and not flying around. Plus neem is an oil so dont want to do this during heat/sun will burn the plants.

@cyndi Thank you so much for all of this awesome information 💕 I have had avocados rot. Usually I just keep the good ones and start more 😁

No problem @Dragon_Warrior keep growing them and passing them on as food for the future gifts. Kindness matters xo

My brother gifted me this avocado! I'm still growing mine, but it's not nearly this advanced yet. I love this adorable thing! #avocado #gift
