Thank you Jane ❤️ I think it’s the foliage that gives it the name but out of all the hibiscus plants I have it’s only one that makes me wait for the flowers 🤣 @pelly

This one didn’t carry any buds this year until now. I wonder why 🤔 I almost forgot how small the flowers are compared to the other #hibiscus #variegatedhibiscus #red

I've got the same hibiscus, it doesn't like to be cut - it's best to do it as litte as possible, otherwise buds appear very late, if not at all.

That’s interesting Natalia 🤔 I have to take care not to prune it too much then. Thank you so much for the tip ❤️😊 @RedFuchsia

You're welcome 🙂 I know this, because I once saw the same hibiscus which has not bloomed for seven years. Mine bloomed after two years - it's not pretty, it's not small, but I see flowers every year😄

Hi Rula! I had this beauty before and although I do think it really is a beauty I also think it's a diva! No matter what I did it never bloomed much at all but I figured the beautiful foliage made up for it🤷💘😍

Well, thanks to you we now know the reason. I’ll try not to cut it this year and see next year’s results. I don’t mind a wild bloomer but it’s just too bad I like cutting back and shaping plants 😄😄 @RedFuchsia

Hey Shelley, I think you’re right a diva with 5* on her shoulder I love the foliage too but would love to see some of these flowers as well. It’s a beauty indeed 😄💚❤️ @ShelleySnyder

I’ll see if Natalia’s advice works for me and let you know Shelley. I will not cut it until next year and see if it carries more flowers 😊 If it works, then the result will be great ❤️ @ShelleySnyder
