I've got the same hibiscus, it doesn't like to be cut - it's best to do it as litte as possible, otherwise buds appear very late, if not at all.

You're welcome 🙂 I know this, because I once saw the same hibiscus which has not bloomed for seven years. Mine bloomed after two years - it's not pretty, it's not small, but I see flowers every year😄

Hi Rula! I had this beauty before and although I do think it really is a beauty I also think it's a diva! No matter what I did it never bloomed much at all but I figured the beautiful foliage made up for it🤷💘😍

Well, thanks to you we now know the reason. I’ll try not to cut it this year and see next year’s results. I don’t mind a wild bloomer but it’s just too bad I like cutting back and shaping plants 😄😄 @RedFuchsia
