15/03/19 - Project Update - last bit of cataloguing, apical Wedge graft of Prunus x subhirtella ‘Autumnalis’ onto the rootstock of straight species Prunus avium. It’s a Winter flowering cherry with white flowers that emerge from pink buds #graft #propagation-grafting #prunus #prunusxsubhirtella #prunusxsubhirtellaautumnalis #winterfloweringcherry

...looks good from here Rich, "keep your grafts in mid Spring conditions" we were told ..." 45% prep, 10%craft and 45% aftercare" we were told ..the aftercare being ..avoiding fluctuations in temp which may crack the wax...and avoid to much moisture which may enter the union and prevent cambium & cambium contact...a fascinating subject ...

It's all good stuff. As interesting as fancy flowers to me. Hoping to see all these experiments develop over the coming months 👌
