Repotted all my nerines today in new soil mix, along with a bigger terracotta pot. I’ve still gone with a shallow pot though. Pleased to see them all clumping up very well (originally three bulbs) and all of them have flowered every year for the last three-four years

Getting very familiar with their growing pattern now too. It’s perfectly normal for mine to start growing their foliage in February but they seem to have sped up this last week #nerine #nerinebowdenii #nerine-bowdenii #bowdenlily

Thanks Sharon 🙏🏼😊 - I probably should have repotted them last year but by the time I remembered it was already late spring so didn’t want to disturb them @sharonhayden

Morning folks, hope everyone is enjoying Friday so far. I'm adding some missing items from my plant list today - of which there are a few 😳... Starting with these Nerines #nerine #nerine-bowdenii #bowdenlily

#bulbs planted in pots on 5th March. John Innes no. 3 based compost with a handful of extra hort grit and sand. 3 bulbs to a pot 🤓

This is my first attempt at growing them. Whilst researching more info on Nerines and how to plant the bulbs, I found out that you should plant them so that the necks of the bulbs are partly exposed above the soil, as they like to bake in the sun. I also concluded that they are similar to agapanthus in that they prefer to be overcrowded. So hopefully I won't need to do much with these other than an occasional feed and repotting every few years.

Hello Richard, my sister dug a clump of nerines up for me and also told me to leave the top of the bulb showing. Can't wait for them to flower😍

Hey Ann 👋🏼, that was a lovely present 😀 - they will put a cracking display on for you. Don't worry about if you crowd them in, seems to be fine with these. I probably could have added a couple more bulbs to my pot but only bought three. Never mind, they'll bulk up soon enough. Are you putting them in ground or pots? Either is fine just make sure it's very sunny. @thomasrat3
