'Firebrand' - just opened so looks a little creamy but the perianth segments will quickly turn to white 🤍🧡 #heritagedaffodil - registered pre 1897

It’s a very airy one Sharon, the petals seem to separate a bit more as the flower matures, giving it a really nice shape @sharonhayden

Not as good as I’d hoped, Rich. I’ve got two pots with about eight bulbs in each but only two flowers from one pot and three from the other. I was interested in your reply to Celina about growing bulbs in pots so I might transfer these to the garden to see if they do better there. I’ve just taken a photo of the threesome so I’ll post it in a minute. 👍😘

This a something special - a #heritagedaffodil , Narcissus 'Firebrand' - it's one of my favourite oldies and has this lovely yellow glow behind the bright orange small cups. First registered before 1897, making it over 120 years old 😮 #narcissus #daffodil #narcissusfirebrand
