Well funny thing Eileen is that I was hoping it was, but I have to say it’s not the strongest I’ve had. But, they have been open for a couple of weeks now so I may have missed their peak @emch

I think I might get this one next year to replace some of my older ones. I've decided to buy a new variety each year rather than keep replacing them with the same variety. My new garden is not going to be good for growing iris reticulata so I might have to adapt my approach to them and treat them more as a novelty rather than try and keep a collection. I seem to have more luck with growing muscari 😄

Surprised how incredibly well they grow at work, but I’m quickly noticing how well draining the soil is there. It must be the reason. It’s not gritty though, just years of home compost. You’d think it would be soggy in winter but obv not good at holding on to moisture. Apparently I have to water lots in summer so we’ll see. I’ll keep you posted how the new ones fair that I planted this year @ublaszko
