Fabulous, I love day lillies but only have an orange one. 🌺

Absolutely Beautiful 😍😃💕

You'll feel inadequate if you check out @MelanieAt serious day lily envy

@Puddings_pies yes, Melanie has a fab collection - no doubt taken a while to build up such a collection. 😊 @MelanieAt

Thanks @puddings_pies @richard.spicer.7906 for the call out. :) it has taken a while. Yours are lovely too.

Evening folks 👋🏼 - some functional #newgrowth pics tonight for my own plant diary. Here is one of my new daylily purchases from last autumn, which seems to be settling in well #hemerocallis #daylily #hemerocalliseldesperado

Hi my lilies are coming to the end of flowering. Do you know if I need to wait for them to totally die down before I move them ?

Hi Paulette 😀👋🏼 - normally I would wait till Autumn but I think providing you keep them well watered after the move then I think it would be fine to move them - especially if you want to put something else in its place. They are fairly resilient plants. Are you looking to split them too? @pclarke

He's a video on the gardeners world website which may help too. I note it does say to normally do either in spring or Autumn, but I think this is purely because there is an expectation that it would be flowering between June and August. If you sure it's finished for the year then go for it 😀👍🏼 @pclarke

Didn't think about splitting Richard just moving.

Thank you for your time and help 👍

Will keep you posted x

I read today that there are over 60,000 registered hybrids of Daylily! 😮 this is definitely not an exciting photo, but this is one of those many hybrids that I've introduced. El Desperado is primarily yellow with a wine-purple centre and matching picotee edge. Bred around 1991 and planted be me on 14th November 🤓 #hemerocallis #daylily #hemerocalliseldesperado

Oh wow sounds fantastic 😍😍
My daylilies have suffered with the drought this year. One of them has lost all its buds, but it’s still alive so maybe no flowers this year. ‘El Desperado’ has however been hanging on in #daylily #hemerocallis #hemerocalliseldesperado
Lovely
Neeeeeed this one!! Would go so well with my darker one 👌🏼
Ooo lovely
Beautiful Colours
yeah that would make an excellent combo Rach, it’s the reverse colouring of your ‘Pardon Me’ variety. If it’s big enough this year I’ll see if I can split a bit off for you 👍🏼 @Rachelbrooks
Ahh bless you that would be fab if you can, thank you. I have been looking for this one wherever I go! ☺️
