I have a few days off work, so distracting myself with GT (I should be studying 🙄) - haven’t posted a pic of Little Ben for a while, so here he is. He’s quite a short snowdrop but has massive flowers, and they usually keep quite closed too unless it’s an exceptionally good weather day

These self seed too and make small stands eventually in time. Especially nice when they poke through the “snow”. 😊🌞

Thanks everyone, nice little snowdrop - I love the fact Little Ben is part of the 'mighty atom' group classification of snowdrops - makes it sound like a mini superhero 🦸🏼‍♂️ 😄 @joanboston @juliesgarden @hkyfvr @pelly @Auricula @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom

Thanks David 👍🏼, yes one of a few I have. Would love to buy more but holding back at moment till I’ve found permanent homes for these elsewhere in garden, which is under renovation @Davidward

Thanks Sue! Lots of good clump sizes, couple of fatalities unfortunately so I’ll dig up those empty baskets and replace them with something new. @lilybee

They are, this particular one is known to have massive flowers on short stems. The look quite neat I think 😊 @suerichards

Ok, couple of this years purchases now, which are already in bloom. This one is 'Little Ben' - flower is quite large, but really short stems #snowdrop #galanthus #galanthuslittleben

Cute, I like the short stems. Shows off the bloom.🤗

Indeed @purplebird 😀- hopefully the short stems can still support the weight of the bud. Will keep my eye on it to be sure. May put a little layer of grit in the pot for this one to stop water splashes from the soil as it's quite close. 👍🏼
