Species crocus - Crocus kotschyanus - first time I’ve seen it before, but already I’m not sure the packet had the right picture on it (showing a bright pink crocus colour!) - after a bit of online reading, they should be lilac whiteish colour. They are autumn flowering so hopefully will see these up and flowering in the next couple of months #crocus #crocus-kotschyanus #bulb #bulbs #kotschyscrocus
Planted in a fairly gritty well draining mix of John Innes no.3, silver sand and horticultural grit. Noticed my hands have got progressively more muddy on my pics this evening 😂
Lol! I know what you mean - I hate wearing gloves unless I really have to 🧤 like with thorny stems. Thanks, still got a few more to plant, bit achy today though as doing a lot of garden renovation too @cyndi
I was looking at them yesterday on JP Parker's website 😊 They were very bright pink in their catalogue. I wonder what colour they turn out in the end. I'm always unsure of whether or not I get the correct bulbs. And bonus point for muddy hands 😂😂 I hardly ever use my garden gloves either.
