Here is my #purple butterfly magnet. I love this time of year, I have 3 buddleja buzz and the smell in the garden from these is so good! Have a great weekend everyone!
💜💜💜

Morning Richard 💜💜
Beautiful.
Seems to be loads of these growing around Dublin, and indeed Ireland. Crazy , still beautiful
They’ll grow anywhere if allowed, even in the cracks in walls. They can do quite a lot of damage in the wrong places! @jamescalli
They certainly do. It's a little insane isn't it

The #buddleja is out which is extremely #beefriendly but it also means that my deadheading just increased exponentially! Worth it though! 💜💜💜
My favorite color. Is this named because it attracts butterflies?
Yes it definitely is Becky! It’s somewhat of a butterfly magnet 🧲 @bexy

Morning everyone! Sorry I haven’t been around much, as the days are drawing in my usual gardening time of early morning/evening is being eroded by darkness 🙁 have a great day and may get some time to look at all your lovely pictures over the weekend!
Morning Richard I was going to ask you for a note regarding your absence but I'll let you off 😁 lovely photo
Spectacular pic
Morning Richard, what a stunning photo 😍😍

Morning everyone! The #buddleia is flowering beautifully at the moment and the smell is out of this world. Yesterday it attracted a hummingbird hawk moth which is amazing (couldn’t get my camera out quick enough) and I counted 7 different species of butterfly! Love this plant (even with all the deadheading!)
Good morning ☀ It looks great! 😊
Morning Richard. Great plant ....I have 3 different varieties at the moment and that includes one that self seeded itself a few years ago now 👋😊💜
Morning Pauline. Yes, I have 3 of the buzz variety but they are certainly not the dwarf variety they’re sold as, mine are huge (I don’t mind though!) @flof1952
Morning Richard 😊 look at all those blooms 💜💜
Morning wow goes to show it's definitely a butterfly magnet 💜💜💜
Super!!!
Beautiful 💜💜💜
It’s so pretty and I bet it smells wonderful great job and your going to have many more visitors I’m sure!!🤗😊💕
Morning. They are gorgeous!😍💜💜💜

No sooner than the #buddleja open the #butterfly return. I have not seen a peacock or a tortoiseshell since March before the cold spell. So glad! I also love the smell of buddleja currently filling the garden
Oh fabulous my buddleia probably won't flower this year as it's my goal to encourage a peacock in, I unfortunately cut stem off dead heading 😮
Oh no Keely, I hate it when that happens, have done it myself with a clematis. At least buddleja are almost indestructible. I think butterflies can smell them from a long way away. @Keely
She's got a eye on you Richard 😊😉😁 @rbetts25
Really gorgeous image.I love buddleja since i was a child. Here they grow naturalized everywhere. I like their purple scented flowers. In Gargeners` World Monty showed a yellow one. I have never seen that before.

#buddleja #butterfly #butterflybush 🦋
I find these aren't quite as small as advertised
I agree @Puddings_pies I have to cut back hard every year, easily grows to 6ft, would take over if left alone!
