Fuchsia 'Cornelia Smith'

Good morning all! I need some #fuchsia-advice :) my fuchsias, which are currently laden with buds, have just about outgrown their pots. The root tips are just peeking out from the bottom. This wouldn't be a massive problem if the pot were kept on a soil surface, but my plants are all in a tiled balcony. So should I repot them in their budding stage? I don't usually transplant plants when they're flowering. #help

(2/2) nor do we repot plants during the warmer months. So my options are to change the pots right now as the plants are flowering, OR keep them in the same pots for the next ~7 hot months. I personally would pot on and give them a good feed they haven't quite flowered so would say you should be OK may bring on the flowers too if roots can expand 😆

I agree with @keely I'd repot asap. Otherwise they'll struggle through the hot months.

Likewise I'd risk reporting now @Pushkraj as both suggest fingers crossed

Thanks Keely, Katie and Geoff! It makes sense :) I'll pot 2 fuchsias now, then! I won't be able to disturb them in the arid months, nor will I be home anyway @brightcolours @Keely @driftwood

I finally get to add fuchsias to my garden! I first saw these in a Daily Mail article about an English pensioner couple who created a stunning garden over the years. I was obsessed, and now mummy and papa have managed to get me three different varieties!! No more heartbreak, @gjones #fuchsia
