I live to the south of Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire. Somewhat overcome by the work needed in the garden, I share bits of it! Twitter @oldgreyheron
Lots of developing fruit on the little fig in the greenhouse.
Oh, this is exciting, better than last year: fig brown turkey in the greenhouse.
First ever fruit - picked an hour ago, now devoured by my good lady! #gyo
Don't you like them Mike?
I'm not as keen as Sandra is @kathy so my expectations were met!
They're growing... Will they ripen I wonder?
One of two embryonic fruits on the fig growing in a pot in the greenhouse. Our first two potential fruits. Any tips welcome!
keep it in a pot unless you want an enormous tree with lots of fruit :) mine is in a pot so not much fruit unfortunately, i think i counted five last year so will probably get it a larger pot :)
Thanks Sarah. Would you recommend moving it outdoors in the summer? It's only 1m tall at present. @Squares
No problem, i keep mine outside year round should be fine, was given mine by Greek friends some years back and was probably the same size ad yours, its always been outside :)
