Satsumas blooming like crazy

What's this?? Some kind of maple?? And My brother bought an saguaro cactus from Arizona thanks for giving information and I'll post it tomorrow 😁

@jyotu it is a satsuma tree which produces citrus fruit similar to oranges and tangerines.

It sounds cool

@jyotu they are sweeter, less acidic, and easier to peel than oranges. You could take the peel off in one piece. 😋🤤

Lemme search in Google and it sounds like sonekind of Japanese fruit

Check that link I shared a nice information of satsuma and I guessed right satsuma fruit's origin is from china but introduced to the west Japan via

These poo looking dudes are very interested in my citrus plants. Is it a giant swallowtail? #wildlifewednesday

@treefrog44 ?

@Cyndi thanks! My grandma told me she had some little poop looking caterpillars on hers too and she was afraid they would kill the plant. I’m glad I’ve been letting them stick around instead of killing them like hornworms! There are three big fat ones on there right now I can’t wait to see if they’ll stick around til they become butterflies.

@cyndi I went and had a closer look and there are five huge ones. They look like snakes! These trees are quite young and still need to be planted. I hope they are done eating soon. I’m not super experienced so almost every bug worries me. 🙀 I will encourage these guys though, they are pretty neat!

Imagine getting by in life by imitating bird sh*t.

@BobWallace 😂😂 the smaller they are the more crappy they look omg. The tiny ones are actually shiny like some fresh doodoo lmaoo

Hahahahaha we’re so mature 😂

Tons of blossoms open on this satsuma tree now. They smell great! The bugs are loving it. Carpenter bees are out. ):
