I'm with u of thought regarding rain water!! My plants just shoot up with some rain water. Good idea about egg containers
@terrimclaughlin that particular plant, rain lily, only blooms w rain water. But I agree w you, I think rain water is healing to plants because it doesn't have all the additives.
