Saved from the brink (and now in a bigger pot)! See the new root? When I moved to West Sac in February, this mama was looking rough and hosting #whiteflies. Her recovery is actually tied to mine. The lifting of my depression--being able to take care of myself--meant that I could take care of others. At first glance, it may seem that I'm saving plants, but they're also saving me. 17Aug2020 #ThaumatophyllumXanadu (formerly #PhilodendronXanadu) #plantsmakepeoplehappy
This is possibly the first plant I've rescued from a clearance shelf. Lowe's was selling them for $3 each. I got one for my sister, too. Just repotted this guy and used compost from my worm farm. Remind me to post a comparison photo in six months, as well as a side-by-side pic with my sister's plant.
