Gardening is like cooking. To improve, you need to be willing to make mistakes and experiment. Also, common names are garbage. Zone 9b, West Sac, CA.

Currently around 12' tall. Hoping she and the other planted tropicals will survive the winter. (Camphor tree in background.)

My sister meant to send a colander to help me save time while stripping #moringa leaves from the fronds but somebody messed up and instead I got this religious headdress. #pastafarian

I just made and ate a large serving of a ginormous salad with maybe 20 ingredients, including fresh #moringa leaves from the garden. In the Philippines (where it is known as #malunggay), eating the nutrient-dense #leaves is a standard recommendation for mothers who need to encourage their breastmilk production. (This probably explains the odd, tingling sensation in my chest.) 10July2020 #gyo #foliagefriday
