Planted out my dwarf beans yesterday plus 3 seeds from a next door. Hopefully they will do well and i can keep the sparrows off. #gyo #homegrown #grownfromseed

I have old CD’s on string across mine, it kept the birds of my young beetroot too!

@jerseylily sadlynthat doesn't work with the nabourhood cats who tend to use any uncovered earth or even lightly covered earth like this as a.toilet

I threaded some holly branches ,that I had trimmed off, at the bottom of my canes to keep the cats from using it as a toilet. It has worked and have now removed it 🤞🤞

@joanboston I tryed that with Holly and very spikey rose cuttings but it didn't work. I have some plastic spike straps that work but there no good once you have things planted in them. This works well and protects my veg from the pigeons as well.
