I love big tropical looking leaves (other plant sugestions welcome), but this is going to be a real experiment (especially through winter) I live in a small terraced house on a hill in south Devon. Negatives are that my garden is north west facing so a bit on the dark side, and we've a strong costal wind. Plusses are that the house acts as a wind break and the garden is sunken with a 6 ft retaining wall at the back. Im hoping this will provide the shelter the banana needs from frost and wind, bu
Should be OK, trachycarpus fortunei (palm) and the phoinix canariensis (excuse spelling) palm or a brugsmania they all should grow well the last would need a little protection in the winter
That's really helpful, thanks @carolgs :D
Fatsia japonica, it does come in a variegated form aswell, I will keep thinking of plants for you
Zantedeschia (the white arum lily) its not for everyone but I like it
Thanks @carolgs really appreciate your help. And I love them too, very poisonous to dogs though apparently so I will have to be very careful where I plant it
I got mine in a pot my dog doesn't seem to go near it but it is in the back of a border at the moment
Happy #banana !
#thebananagang whoop whoop!! 🙌🙌🙌🍌😎👌
