There is something that looks like #mildew on my #succulent . Any help on how to deal with this would be appreciated. #succulent-hangingbasket #sedum #harrybutterfield #sedeveria

Mealybug soot? Some of the new growth is deformed. @Yollymac ?

@lovestogarden - I can see the mealybug stickiness roughly centre of photo (white cottony substance). Mealy loves new growth and often goes for flowers. How you deal with it depends on your philosophy in the garden. I have recently had fairly major infestation and after unsuccessfully trying a couple of natural remedies I have had to resort to pesticide. I am finally now getting on top of it!

@Yollymac thank you for your help. Now that you pointed it out, I see it too. 😵 I shall have to go through all my plants and really investigate and attack. I saw some elsewhere too. ❤

Yep!! That's what I do! Especially if the gloves are heavier ones, then there's the rubber disposal gloves that rip 5 minutes after you start working! 😂😂💘😍

Yes, Laura. I thought it was a mutant because it grew sooo large, but someone (I forget who) told me the correct name. Funny, huh? 😁 @columbiariver

Going on my wish list. How fast does this grow if well cared for? I have no succulents and want to put some in a terrarium, of course this would have to go somewhere it can hang. I would have to have it inside, I am zone 6B Would it get enough sun across a room on a wall hanger, in front on a mostly South facing window? Mom always complained we didn't have any good facing windows and now I see what she meant. It could be put outside in summer if that would help.😶🤔🤗

Michelle, I am not sure about Succulents grown inside. I do not have much luck with them inside. However, @alovealoe , @succulentsplants , and I am sure others will be better to help with that information. #succulent-advice #succulents #houseplant @purplebird

Easy to grow inside and outside, no need very care, It's a Sedeveria Harry Butterfield, aka giant burrito!
