Two of these I grew from seed, the tops were yellow, brown and black. I've snipped a good inch off and planted them in the ground as they looked like they were dying so hopefully Mother Earth will save them. #monkeypuzzle

@pelly I tried snipping the bad bits off last year but same happened, it should be 3-4 inches taller, I'll have nothing left if I snip anymore😅

I really haven't got a clue about them, but might it be worth potting one up to see if there's any difference in growth? 🤔🤔

I'll just leave them alone😂 probably the best idea, I've been a bit snip happy the past few days but ive had a few winter casualties @pelly

I just got curious about these and found something on YouTube about them and this looks too small to be in the ground according to what it says. Definitely worth a look Leno, Google it . 👍👍

@Leno well done for growing from seed. This is the cutest Monkey Puzzle tree I’ve ever seen. So teeny tiny but destined to grow into a giant.

😅well I had to resort to chopping bits off because they were dying, it's taken ages to grow them to that size😂 #patienceisavirtue @pixierose

Anyone have any idea why they're turning a bit yellow at the ends? I've got them in a sunny position, I'll try moving them to the shade. Don't think that's it though.😕😦😢

@pixierose this was when the ends started going funny, I should've done something then before it got as bad as it did.😕 #trialanderror

You should put them outside through the day and bring them in at night, to harden them off. Then after a couple of weeks they should be OK outside, maybe in a sheltered spot for a while. Just keep an extra eye on them. If it's bad weather, treat accordingly.

Thanks, I've been putting them out all day n bringing them in at night for weeks, we've had some unusual great weather the past while. I'll leave them out n see how they get on😊

@care3 Yes I bought them off eBay believe it or not, they've actually grew a little bit since that photo, I'll post one later. I've never used feed or anything, I just plant n hope for the best.😂
