#prickleypear this drought is fantastic for the cactuses

Wow! They're really doing great!

@gjones I don't go other there very much during raspberry picking time because I am to busy with the raspberries. It seems they have doubled in size in a month.

Do you have a large raspberry patch? I used to have a huge patch but we took it out because the maintenence took so much time. Two years later I wished I would have left a small patch as I love fresh raspberries. Then a few years ago, we noticed a small patch of raspberries was growing by the lilacs. The birds must have eaten some berries, pooped out the seeds and now I have a small patch of about 30 plants. Last year I had a couple handfuls to eat😊

@gjones we have a patch that took 5 hrs to pick. Can you grow black raspberries up there? They do not sucker like the red ones. They have purple ones which is a cross between red and black. They don't sucker either.

I haven't seen any black or purple ones in the garden centres but I'll Google and see if they'll grow here. Thanks for the suggestion😊

That's a strange one, never seen before. But looks nice 👌

@bks thank you. I think it is a spineless variety. I just planted it a month ago.

This is new growth since May when I put this outside.

It looks like a Mikey mouse hat.

Is this cactus dead? What is wrong with it?

I think this one might be a goner. 😢

@dirtgirlworld @savannahssucculentgarden @cyndi thank you. I will try cutting off the bad part and see what happens.
