I've never tried rooting one in water! Maybe @angiie has some suggestions

Same here, never tried with a Haworthia before @gjones But I have seen images of some that are ready to be moved to the growing medium having roots just as small. Maybe @LisaCollection @heathertc can help... They've had high success rates with water propagations 😉👍 Best of luck @kylers

@kylers I agree with what @carolg said on the last image. It appears it was been sitting too low in the water and may be beginning to rot inside.

If it's completely dry and not rotten, it takes a very long time for some things to root. I have some plants that have taken 6-12 months to get this much root. They're still alive, so I just leave them there.

I haven't tried with Haworthia but if the roots is sprouting you are doing something right. Patients is the key 😊 May I ask if the stem in water or above water?

Thank you Katy @gjones for reaching out to @angiie I appreciate the suggestions from everyone @LisaCollection @heathertc . I actually had it sitting just above the water line but the opening of the container was rather small. I am wondering if maybe I damaged it by leaving it in there do so long. I have pulled it and left it sitting in some gritty mix fingers crossed your right @heathertc 🙏

I would give it another week or two so the roots are a longer

So I have not seen much progress on these roots, any more ideas @carolgs 🤔

Not sure if you can do like hyacinth, by lifting the root to just above the water (so the base of leaves are out of the water) this might encourage the roots to grow down to the water a little hope that makes sense

May-4/19 This little one is one of my more unique plants. Came labelled as a truncata ‘Hiroshige’ . I don’t have all the plant info to correctly add it into the Garden Tags Plant library. #succulent #haworthia
