Viburnum are one of my favourite shrubs. I ordered another one this year😊

It's beautiful 😍😍 #texture

@gjones I can see why you like them so much! Only have 2 but they give so much interest at different stages 😍 how are things over your way? Garden weather yet?

@sherrisgarden thanks Sherri ☺️ will be the first time it flowers and can’t wait 🤗

You're welcome 😘

@kez001uk Yes weather has warmed up now (20C) today and about 1/2 of the garden is dry enough so I've started cleaning it up. You hanging in there thru this covid ordeal? We're still in lock down/isolation but our province is thinking of opening a few businesses next week (if our numbers stay low).

@gjones that’s great 😁 bet it feels nice to finally get out there again after a few months 😍 are you feeling back up to strength since you were unwell last year? I’m doing ok thanks. Staying home is what I do anyway so all this lockdown stuff isn’t so hard 😂 my aunt is in hospital with it but seems to be doing ok...

@gjones the care home she lives in had an outbreak and several deaths so am grateful they caught her symptoms. I read about your province, that’s a huge step in the right direction! You live much further apart from each other so that’s helping keep numbers low. Another benefit of countryside living 😁 keep safe 🙏🏻

Hope your aunt recovers quickly. We look at the covid19 numbers around the world every day. Many countries were hit hard including the UK. Glyn has a 6 month contract with our municipality but they haven't called him to work yet because of the virus. Healthwise we're both fine but every year the degenerative arthritis in my spine gets worse so I have to ease into yard work slowly or it triggers extreme pain in my sciatic nerve. Just part of getting older!😁 I was going to have a smaller ⬇

garden this year but instead have doubled the size of our veg garden. We've read articles that there may be food shortages this year so we're planting extra to share with friends, family and to preserve just incase there's any problems with the food supply. We can produce everything we need except we'd have to buy meat from a neighbour who raises cattle. We're preparing incase there's a second wave of covid this autumn.

@gjones thank you ☺️ the death rates are so scary. The densely populated areas are struggling so much but there are still people not listening to government advice 😞 I’m sorry to hear about your arthritis. Sounds like it can be quite debilitating so you do well to maintain your garden the way you do! Self sufficiency seems the way to go. Smart idea to prepare like you are. Hopefully it won’t end up as bad as they predict but thus has taught us to take nothing for granted 😔
