Beautiful when they turn like that. Mine looked like that a couple of weeks ago 😍

See once i know they are yellowing and dying I dont find beautiful anymore. I'm super judgy and want plants to be perfect althhough I do like when trees change to fall color. I'm too much of a perfectionist when it comes to plants :(

@heatherdirtyhands I must admit I’ve never seen any of my Hostas at this stage before as I usually cut everything back before it has chance to look raggedy 😂 so I’m with you on wanting them to look perfect. But as I’ve left everything to die back naturally this year, it has been interesting to see the changes 💛💚

How strange. I'm no big hosta enthusiast (mainly because of the multitude of slugs & snails here) but I've never seen one flower like that 🤔

That’s a first for me, Kerry 😳 I can only assume that the flower spike hasn’t properly developed and so the flower buds are opening as best they can. Time for some research, I think! Thanks for the tag, Jane 👍 @pelly

I’d say it’s about right Kerry cos there’s plenty of light at the bottom...when it gets bigger they push through the top

No Elaine, Hostas produce a flower spike first and then the buds open at the top. Kerry’s Hosta is showing signs of very strange behaviour! @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom

@columbiariver it’s much bigger than any of my other 1st year hostas. The stems are gorgeous, just wish I’d have taken those bad leaves off before I took the photo 🤣

It's nice because it doesn't look like the typical or common ones.

I'm ringing them today Kerry, I'm pretty sure all the other ones I got are also wrong!! Anyway, as you say it is a nice one, have you had a close look at the leaves, they seem to shimmer!!

@lesliecole49 it’s just supposed to have a white edge but this isn’t showing any at all 😜

I got 12 free ones with an order last year, not a one was labeled of course. I gave 3 away and all those three are coming up looking solid green! Most of the ones I kept have verigation. One looks as tho it's going to be a big one!
