Almost 100% sure they're crocus tommasinianus 'Yalta'. I nearly bought them last autumn but went for crocus tommasinianus ' Whitewell Purple' instead. 💜💜💜 @kez001uk @DeborahBanks

None of mine seem to be near to flowering, hopefully they'll catch up soon.

Unfortunately, I think they might not be as great this year because I didn't get round to digging them up and dividing. Judging by how many flowers there were last year they were due to be spaced out so they can keep on multiplying. On the positive, I have the first returning iris reticulata Harmony in 2 years 💙 @kez001uk

@ublaszko there were masses of flowers, looked so good! Hopefully they’ll be kind to you this year and can be divided afterwards as a reward 🤣 oh you’re so lucky! Mine haven’t ever come back 😢

She loves them! Although her personal favourite are scrambled eggs. 😁😁 Eggs are a good source of protein for cats and good for their health as long as you don't add any butter, milk, salt etc.

It sure is. I'm always trying different things, to improve upon results from the previous year, especially with seed sowing techniques & with new, more challenging plants to grow. 👍

@jeatacake I get you with the seeds. So many different requirements for them little blighters! 😂 about to start mine for this year and hoping for success with some of the failures of last year 😜

Overall, consistent warm is the biggest factor with most, hence the heated propogator. It makes a huge difference. At less than £20 at Wilkos, they're well worth it 👍

It is & often the seeds just die & rot if too cold & wet. It's maybe the best gardening investment I've ever made @kez001uk 👍

Is this a mixed pack of crocuses? I'm thinking of getting one next year to have a good variety of crocuses to stare at and admire 😍😍😍

@ublaszko it was a big mixed bag from the garden centre. I don’t remember them being named as anything but mixed crocus. They’d be a good idea for adding a bit more random variety 😁

I reckon I'll plant them in a pot and then separate them once I see what they are. I might get some varieties that I don't have yet and it's always nice to have something new each year.

I find that it's easier to plan spring bulbs when they're in flower so you can match them with what you already have in your garden, rather than rely on memory to remember in September what you garden looked like 6 months before. If that makes sense...😅
