So pretty! I have a Japanese bottlebrush plant ( sanguisorba obtusa). The flowers look like a bottle brush but are longer and narrower and not as brilliant a red as yours. I must remember to catalogue mine next year as I've had it for 3 years now!😀

Yes, it's made it through 2 winters outside so far. I always forget to post it but I'll make sure I do this year

Cataloging

I really like these! Planted one last year and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it'll return but this one is borderline hardy here so it might not have made it.😊

Need to repot mine. Be interested to see how yours does. I bought me and mum one at same time a few years ago. Mine has bloomed every year but I didn't know how to prune it so it's a bit straggly. My mum's hasn't bloomed as well but is bushier with more leaves (although she seems to think it's not doing very well at the moment). Both in pots but in different parts of the country!!

@gjones I hope it has made it through 🙏🏻 this is the plant that got me into gardening but the one I had was a standard and unfortunately the trunk split and it died ☹️ hoping for better with this bush type 🤞🏻

@bluefox23 I’ll be interested too 😂 the last one I had was fantastic when it flowered but it died sadly. I think you just cut the spent blooms off once they’re finished and tidy it up if need be. Hopefully a new pot will spur yours on to bigger and better flowers 😁
